A Stronger City
In response to the flooding situation in Calgary, the city I live in and love.
When we were faced with our biggest storm,
Kindness came in its purest form.
Thousands of neighbours, offering aid,
A stronger city this disaster has made.
After the Flood
Unless you’re in Calgary, Ab right now, it’s really hard to understand the severity of the flooding here. Something we’ve never seen before in our beautiful city. After the last few days of dealing with this natural disaster, I love the city I live in even more. The way we’ve pulled together has been amazing—a lesson for all.
Our city afloat, a tragic scene,
And we’re in a spot we’ve never been.
Banding together in loss and hope,
A unity that helps us cope.
Strong are we, when we stand as one,
We won’t be defined by what the river has done.
Pick Yourself Up
Build you up, then knock you down,
How easily some people can make you frown.
Life’s too short to stay on the ground,
Pick yourself up, and don’t keep them around.
Entrepreneur Anthem
I don’t look for jobs
I create them instead,
Doing the things
I dream up in my head.

All dressed up with nowhere to go,
With a dress like this, I’d put on a show.

I walked into the room,
Your sound had me consumed.
